My buddy Rick has a screen accurate replica of that costume. We primarily use it for our stage gags, but it still makes me cringe everytime I see it.
It's been a while since I watch the Colin Baker story on the Who website (the animated one with the Cybermen), but was the cat drawn for that based on those pins, or was it a new design? I seem to recall the pins actually appeared to react to certain events in the story. :)
Each story had its own distinct pin, as I recall. Same goes for "Real Time".
