PUBLICATION: Star Trek: Deep Space Nine: The Maquis - Soldier of Peace #3, Malibu Comics, April 1995
CREATORS: Mark A. Altman (writer), Rob Davis and Jack Snider (artists)
STARDATE: Unknown (follows the last issue)
PLOT: Sisko and Garak have been captured by Gul Dulcet who engineered Bashir's capture to lure the latter to his prison camp. Seems Garak sold him out for taking bribes from Bajorans. Dulcet has been manipulating the Maquis Tessa with the promise of reuniting her with her brother, actually lost along with the USS Voyager. Bashir breaks out first, and leads a Maquis revolt in the prison camp. Dulcet escapes with Tessa and Garak, shooting the former and bringing the latter to Gul Dukat for execution, while leaving his camp on self-destruct. Kira and the Defiant arrive in time to beam out every Cardassian and prisoner. The ship then beats Dulcet to Cardassia Prime where Dukat has no choice but to disavow Dulcet's actions and have him arrested. The Maquis are remanded to Starfleet custody.
CONTINUITY: See previous issues (Maquis, Garak, Dukat). There are references to the events of Cardassians and Profit and Loss. The comic may feature the first appearance of Dukat's wife, a character here called Gara.
DIVERGENCES: None.
PANEL OF THE DAY - I probably don't want to ask about this staging.
