Source: Final Crisis: Superman Beyond #1-2 (2008)
Type: Alternate EarthWe can squeeze one last Superman Amalgamonday out of Earth-4's Quantum Superman who feels a lot less like a Superman than a combination of Captain Atom and Doc Manhattan (the latter already a spin on the former). He's only his world's Superman because the Monitors (read: Grant Morrison) says so. Because as far as analogs go, it's pretty weak and amounts to "most powerful being on the planet", which may not even apply to Superman on any given day. But the Superman army really did need a guy who could navigate Multi-D space.
I wonder, was this DC's bid to reclaim the Watchmen in some rebooted form? Final Crisis was a lot like that - hinting at a new DC Multiverse that never came to be.
