So yeah, last week, in the enthusiasm surrounding the premise of "Dinosaurs on a Spaceship" (Doctor Who Series 7, episode 2), I completely forgot that IDW's Doctor Who comics had done the show one better a year before:
That's Kevin, the first and only ROBOT DINOSAUR COMPANION. Truth! Kevin joined the 11th Doctor, Amy and Rory in issue #8 of the 2010-12 series and left in #9 to join the crew of a space station, though there are references to untold adventures in between the two issues. Don't ask how Kevin gets in and out of the TARDIS. The entrance is dimensionally transcendental.
And this week's cyborg gunslinger?
Seen that premise before too. ;-)

I'd like a Dr Who novel called Piemaker.
