Reign of the Supermen #475: Superbia's Sovereign

Source: Superbia vol.1 #1-present (2012-present)
Type: Analog
Though it would be easy to dismiss Grace Randolph's Superbia as just another Watchmen-like deconstruction of superheroes, its focus on the heroes' husbands, wives and children means it's a lot better than that. So the Superman analog, Sovereign, can afford to be an inhuman a-hole, because we're really following his girlfriend. In this version of the legend, the world's most powerful hero didn't end up with the journalist who covered all his deeds, Hayley Harper, though they did date for a while, until she asked him to help her move to her new apartment, which was all very BENEATH him. Instead, he's shacking up with bad girl Helen "Hella" Heart, former lieutenant of Sovereign's nemesis, the demonic Hector Hunt. And hiding her from the authorities. So what happens what Lois Lane Hayley Harper (all those H's, gosh) can't keep her nose out of the suburbs and finds Hella alive and well? That's been the thrust of the last few issues of the book (at least, of the Hella thread), and if you aren't reading Superbia, I do recommend it.
