a lot more than you'd think. Some time later, Meyers calls Superboy over and gives him an ultimatum. Either he gives him his costume so he can steal Smallville bank's money transfer - part of Superboy's helpful routine - or he blows up half the town with a remote-detonated time bomb (that isn't what a time bomb is, Golden Age writer). Superboy can't take any chances, but can't give him the uniform on his back because it would "reveal [his] identity". You know, on account of that birthmark everyone knows Clark Kent has. It's a ploy, but Meyers buys it and gives Superboy 3 seconds to get a spare one. The spare one isn't Kryptonian in origin so it's vulnerable to instantaneous bleaching agents!
