Dating Lucy Lane: Not Easily Impressed

From Lucy's very first appearance in Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #36 (April 1959), when Jimmy decides to take her to the Superman Museum:
She flies all the time. How could she be impressed with Superman, Jim? Super-strength? She lifts bags. X-Ray vision? She's sees right through you, Jim! It's all old hat to her. You're going to have to work a lot harder than that.

I think this may be the secret origin of Jimmy's amazing transformations...

    Silver Age comic book women-Lucy, Lois, Jane, Janet, Sue, Iris... It's a wonder the impressionable young fans of the 60s grew up with any respect for women at all.
