Superman's Football Pointers

I know the 1980s retconned Clark Kent into a football star, but really, what does a man with all that power have to teach Metropolis' college team?
Not control, certainly! I mean, are there really practical uses for his tips, or is the coach just using him to shame his players?
There's another explanation for the invitation, of course:

This is Metropolis, where you better make the Super-man feel welcome and well-treated, because if he ever turns bad...

Now I want to know whether that would be judged a valid field goal or not under the official rules.

Certainly isn't anything resembling a demonstration of proper form; a normal person doing what he just did would have either fallen short or bounced off the goal.

You don't seem to be getting a lot of feedback regarding your flashbacks to the Silver Age, but I'm enjoying them. Were these drawings done by Curt Swan and the execrable Ray Burnley in "SP,JO"?

Swan draws it, Brunley inks it!

It's from Superman's Pal, Jimmy Olsen #26.
