Krypto #82: The Earth-388 Krypto

From: Action Comics #388 (May 1970), plus Action Comics #387 (April 1970)

Professor Farlow Nurd's experiment creates a distorted duplicate Earth which displaces Earth-One into another dimension while Superman is in space. He returns to find a wacky parody-world in which Sgt. Rock is still fighting World War II, but seeking revenge on that Earth's Superman for beating him out for Lois Lane's hand; where Lex Luthor's hair grows when he gets mad; and where Bizarro is a genius while Mr. Mxyzptlk is a dummy. Superman restores Earth-One to its normal plane and displaces the distorted duplicate Earth into another dimension, dubbed Earth-388 in fan circles as per the issue number.

And Krypto on Earth-388? Why, he's been amalgamated with Streaky the Super-Cat, and is making creepy wedding gifts for super-marriages:

I ask you, was the Silver Age REALLY over?

I miss this version of Lara and Jor El. That big sun on J's chest is too cool to toss aside.
