The Fox: Spider-Man Precursor!

That's the latest version of Archie's Fox, above, from one of the hugely fun runs by Dan Haspiel and friends, but if we go back to the character's origin in Blue Ribbon Comics #4 (June 1940), we'll discover an interesting bit of trivia: He was the ORIGINAL superhero who took pictures of his adventures for the newspapers. Move over, Peter Parker; here's the equally alliterative Paul Patton! The Fox!
Well. That's... not a great look. But thankfully, he's not taking selfies like Spider-Man is. Rather, Paul has invented a belt camera:
Unfortunately, no shots of him blinding bad guys with his flash-bulb eyes in that first story, but we do see the results:
So no shots of the Fox per se, but plenty of photographic evidence of wrong-doing, which should help the D.A. May be convenient not to take credit for them, Paul, but how are you going to explain anonymous pics falling into your hands every month? FIND OUT in every issue of BLUE RIBBON COMICS!
