Krypto #166: Mon-El's Dog

From: Superman #685 (April 2009), plus Action Comics #873 (March 2009) and Justice Society of America #22 (February 2009)

So you know how Superman keeps fobbing Krypto off to other parties because he's not a very responsible pet owner? Well, guess what. When he leaves for New Krypton, he sends Mon-El to the Kent farm to get his Ma Kent-approved cover story, and I guess HE'LL take care of Krypto. Well, he can't do any worse a job.

But seriously, folks, I guess Ma is really the super-dog's guardian at this point. Krypto's hanging out at the farm, as also seen the previous month in Action 873:
If you want a Superman who takes care of his dog, you kind of have to go to Earth-22 where, 10 years after the events of Kingdom Come, Kryto is still alive and well (JSA #22).
He's disguised as "Skippy" but that's definitely him. He is partially glimpsed without the patch earlier in the issue. Superman's just got to mature before he can be trusted with a dog, that's all.
