Krypto #198: Flashpoint Krypto

From: Flashpoint: Project Superman #2 (September 2011)

If Flashpoint is the Darkest Timeline, it's in part due to Kryptonian crafts being picked up by the U.S. government instead of the Kents. It means no Superman, not even a government-controlled one. They keep Kal-El down in a lab, far from the sun's rays, and experiment on him, physically and mentally. Sometimes they even give him a carrot, in the form of the equally captured Krypto.
The boy bonds with the dog, but the scientists still don't get anywhere with him, so they decide he needs negative reinforcement - and separates him from the dog. Well, that doesn't make KRYPTO any happier, and due to some Luthor shenanigans, the super-dog gets a dose of energy he can use to escape.
After butchering a bunch of guards, he gets shot with a kryptonite gun. Like the boy said: NOOOOOOOOOOOOOO.

But that WAS the Darkest Timeline. It's just light and rainbows from now on, right?
