One Panel #481-484: Your Animal Action of the Week

From Star-Spangled Kid: "Fury of the Fighting Duo" by Jerry Siegel and Hal Sherman, Star-Spangled Comics #3 (December 1941)

Don't worry, that shark will be fine, he's just "insensible". Don't know about you, but I've never even met a sensible shark. They really make it sound like he's just being tasered, but I feel like the caption box is a lot more violent than Star-Spangled Kid lets on.

From Doll Man: "The Evil of Lester DuBois" by Reed Crandall, Feature Comics #51 (December 1941)

Meanwhile, in the page of Feature Comics, Doll Man throws a dog at a man. I've seen it done with cats with some measure of success, but dogs?

From Zoro, The Mystery Man: "Spavento" by unknown, Master Comics #20 (November 1941)

Of course, cats don't really NEED to be thrown, they really like jumping on people. Hel-owwww indeed.

From Merlin: "The Marsden Mystery" by Fred Guardineer, National Comics #18 (December 1941)

And back to the ocean for one last animal, and the reason why submarines give whales a wide berth.
