One Panel #507-512: Quality November

If you don't mind, we'll finish up books on the stands in November of 1941 with all the Quality Comics output not yet empaneled...
From Doll Man (untitled) by Reed Crandall, Feature Comics #52 (January 1942)

Doll Man lights the way swinging a big-ass (well, I guess normal-sized) lantern.

From Plastic Man: "Case of the Disembodied Hands" by Jack Cole, Police Comics #6 (January 1942)

What it says on the tin. Plastic Man vs. a discombobulated crook!

From Madam Fatal: "The League of Hunted Men" by Art Pinajian, Crack Comics #20 (January 1942)

Don't peek under the skirt, dude!

From Betty Bates, Lady at Law: "The Phony Private Detective" by Al Bryant, Hit Comics #19 (January 1942)

Not all comics heroes of the day were of the super variety, but I do like a "civilian" dame who can take care of herself!

From Uncle Sam: "The Black Fog Mystery" by Will Eisner and Lou Fine, National Comics #19 (January 1942)

Something's wrong with America, and only Uncle Sam can fix it!

From Ghost Patrol: "The Painted Lady Patrol" by Dave Berg, Military Comics #6 (January 1942)

And we end on this pretty neat full page from the Ghost Patrol strip.

I'm not gonna say it's true of every strip, but Quality Comics really did have a commitment to quality art. Note how most of these happen to be auteured (the writer IS the artist). One of the difficult things about choosing panels from this company's output is that there's a lot of panel breaking, strange shapes, etc. Quality Comics more or less pioneered the PAGE as an art piece rather than the singular panel.
