IN THIS ONE... Vicki tells stories of her time with the Doctor.
REVIEW: One of the best things about these boxed set promo shorts is the chance to revisit companions the Doctor left along the way. I'm a big fan of the First Doctor era, and of Vicki in particular. Left in the Ancient World after the Fall of Troy, we find her still there, now a grandmother, perfectly happy with her fate. It's quite sweet, just as Vicki is. Notably, they've produced a CG version of her crashed ship in "The Rescue" and woven it into her memories. It's cool, but I rather also like how those memories work as a trailer, making Season 2 exciting and romantic.
Note that this one doesn't cut the new story in half for the actual ad, so there's a nice flow of emotion. There's not much happening, but it still gave me the feels.
REWATCHABILITY: Medium-High - It's like a trailer attached to another trailer, but it's really well done.
