From Seven Soldiers of Victory: "The Treasure That Time Forgot!", by Joseph Samchson abd Maurice Del Bourgo, Leading Comics #6 (March 1943)
It looks absurd, but a common pairing in the 7 Soldiers strips, when the team split up, JSA-syle, was the Shining Knight and the Vigilante, I presume on account of their both dressing up like they're from the past. Without the Soldiers set-up, you'd think this was a splash about some kind of time travel story - especially with the prehistoric volcano eruption in the background (is Vigilante trying to lasso a piece of volcanic debris while balancing on Sir Justin's lance?).
A splash, looking back but looking ahead, this is the Blog of Geekery's way to wish you a Happy New Year!
