One Panel #869: The Deadman of Earth-2

From The Gay Ghost: "Sugo, Yakita, and Shimaka" by Ted Udall and Howard Purcell, Sensation Comics #18 (June 1943)

In this story, the Gay Ghost can suddenly enter dead bodies and animate them, which he does to fight Japanese caricatures. He makes like a mummy, but also animates dinosaur bones later in the story. Neat trick, and one Boston Brand would borrow in the Silver Age (with warm bodies). I mean, if you're going to be a ghost, possession is nine tenths of the game.

He's also very polite :)
Imagine if Fredrick Wertham saw that panel back in the day? Or the internet today? Oh wait...

Has Boston ever tried animating a corpse or skeletal remains like that? O dimly recall some story where his host body was dying and he'd lose control of it when it passed away, but not an instance where he tried to occupy someone already dead. Probably can't do it at all, but animating dinosaur bones would be pretty impressive - if it weren't for the fact that so many museum displays are partially or entirely fakes. Presumably can't make plastic and plaster "bones" come back to a semblance of life they never had, although I suppose actual petrified bones would still work.
