From Sargon: "Crime Keeps a Filing System!" by John B. Wentworth and Howard Purcell, All-American Comics #50 (June 1943)
Sargon the Sorcerer is ousted from All-American as of this issue, his home since his creation for issue #26. He goes over to Comic Cavalcade for four issues, then to Sensation Comics (#34-36, 52-83) until late 1948 at which point he is finally put to pasture. Maybe he wasn't "American" enough.
The other All-American stars, at this point, are: Green Lantern, the Atom, Doctor Mid-Nite, Hop Harrigan, Scribbly, and Red, White and Blue. Judge their American-ness yourself.
