One Panel #886: If Skiing Were More Like This...

Now starting on comics on the stands in May 1943...

From Vigilante: "The Crime Carnival" by Don C. Cameron, Mort Meskin and Charles Paris, Action Comics #62 (July 1943)

...maybe I'd have taken it up. Nah. I'm too clumsy, always thought sports are boring (you mean I can't at least read while I go down that hill?), and was always too poor to buy equipment. I did grow up in a ski town, however, and had an a-hole cousin who was very much into it (I think now he lives out west where the slopes are much higher than our Appalachian hills). Anyway, the "ski types" around town were probably another deterrent for me. They were so "fresh" (derogatory).

No shade if you like skiing. It's just not for me.
