From Daffy: "Little Atmos Fear" by Gill Fox, Smash Comics #43 (July 1943)
The full history of Daffy, according to the DC Wiki:
Daffy Dill came from Kookasow, Iowa, where she was a champion hog-caller. She met Deke (Oxford) Parsons, who guided her career in the promising field of Women's Wrestling. Due to Deke's habitual chicanery, they led complicated but exciting lives, in mid-20th-century American show business.
Daffy was basically a humor strip about a muscled woman, lasting from Smash #41 to #85, a very respectable run considering that #85 was the last issue of Smash anyway. And apparently, weird stuff like this happened in it. Look, Quality Comics had to have SOMEthing to compete with Wonder Woman in terms of the odd artist's kinks/female empowerment combo comix.
