Comics: How to Get Yourself Dropped in Three Easy Steps

Legion Lost #7 teaches you how!

Step 1: Having beloved Legionnaires pose as Kardashians to pass undetected in 21st-century society.Step 2: Misspell a word, showing your poor proofing skills.
Step 3: Announce a crossover with Lobdell's Teen Titans!
If you did it correctly, then congratulations! I've dropped your book!

Note: It is entirely possible to get the same result by skipping directly to Step 3. You've been advised.

I've seen a fair few literals in DC books lately. I know I keep saying this, but come on, editors.

I looked up the Kardashians (sound like Star Trek villains) but couldn't see the clothes reference.

I didn't get it either. I just know what it's meant to represent.

Sadly, I am physically incapable of not buying a Legion book (although there's no way I'm picking up the Titans part of the crossover).

I survived DeFalco on the FF for years, I can survive him here. The good news is that, given the stability of nu52 creative teams, he wont be around nearly as lonv as he was there...

Snell good buddy, you might want to check with Blogger why they keep removing your comments as if you were some common spam-bot.

To answer, I have a similar Legion compulsion, but I guess it's more under control. DeFalco has never been a favorite writer of mine, like, AT ALL, but I did enjoy his recent Thunderstrike mini. I was hoping that would translate here.

What do you have the Blogger comment spam filter set for? You should be able to tell it I'm a force for good...

I'm a Legion completist so I'm sticking it out. I'm not convinced the series has a lot of life left in it anyway.

Snell: Well this one worked. I don't have it set for anything. I regularly get span which I delete, but sometimes Blogger deletes before I get there. I blame all the changes, recent and coming up, system's a bit unstable.

Matt: You may be right. Second wave of cancelations around #12?

It may be some seeing on my Kindle Fire that's causing Blogger's reaction. That second comment, and this one, are from my phone. Grrr I need my computer back...

I can't imagine not reading the Legion, they've been part of my life for so long, I feel like a Sub (reckon I'd suit a beehive?).

How is everyone getting on with the new Blogger interface, by the way? I gave in last night, and using the draft screen isn't as bad as looking at it. But oh, for a bit of contrast.

I've been on the old template forever and haven't made the switch yet.

Yeah. I was so tired of people complaining about the Legion reboots, but reboot fatigue has finally hit me too.

Siskoid said...

Ironically, the Legion books didn't get a reboot.

The current trend towards crossovers (Swamp Thing/Animal Man, Legion Lost/Teen Titans/Superboy/Ravagers, the inevitable line-wide Daemonite invasion storyline that they're seeding now...) is one of the things that seriously turning me off a lot of the nu52 right now. It's the story serving the marketing rather than vice versa.

Randal said...

Not rebooted entirely, no, but a direction change. Legion Lost, plus a retold origin (I guess that counts as a reboot).

How does Superboy fit in now? Is this the future of Earth-2 like it was at one point?

I just want to go back to Five Years Later.

Siskoid said...

Jay: I can't disagree with you. It's also one of those Marvelisims (think Silver Age).

Randal: A retcon more than a reboot, but that's all semantics. The pre-Flushpoint story just continues. Obviously, the past has big changes, i.e. anything to do with the 21st century characters.

Maybe homonyms don't translate well from Interlac?

I wouldn't drop the book without consulting with my principal...
